Key Responsibilities:
- This resource will be responsible for assisting with managing the lifecycle of Client’s computer assets;
- including receiving new items, maintaining secure storage and data quality of existing inventory, and efficient and secure disposal of end of life assets.
- Opportunity to work at other locations occasionally
- Continuity of having an onsite resource at the Baltimore/HQ@HP location Asset Management team.
- This is a contingent role who will be responsible for supporting the daily receiving, distribution, and tracking of desktop hardware assets and peripherals across the firm.
- This resource will be needed on site at HP five days a week.
- This resource is part of the Hardware Asset Management team.
- Duties include; processing daily shipments from USPS, UPS, Amazon, and other vendors, receiving and documenting new hardware assets into the SNOW database, tracking and updating Coupa orders, tracking and updating SNOW tickets, safely packaging outbound equipment packages and creating appropriate UPS labels for shipment, performing physical inventory data collections and reconciliations, organization and storage of assets in inventory, and secure data deletion of assets prior to disposal.
- This resource will continue to augment Asset Management team at HP to continue to process desktop lease replacements, asset disposal outflows, daily responsibilities as mentioned above, and be available to assist with regularly emerging new projects that require both hands-on and data collection and analysis for assets.
- Before the end of the year, the firm is expecting to overhaul its entire hardware asset strategy with one of several potential solutions before support for Windows 10 officially ends.
- This is not a customer/end-user facing position, and is not inherently a technical “working on computer” type position – most of the work is physical.
- However we do work closely with multiple other Technology Operations teams including Desktop Support, and there are opportunities to leverage technical skills and knowledge to improve daily workflows.
- They will receive significant training and documentation on how to perform essential job functions, be expected to perform those tasks effectively and be able to integrate that knowledge with their own to both solve new problems and improve existing workflows.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must have skills: ITAM, HAM, SAM, IT ASSET, inventory, tracking, asset tracking, inventory control, servicenow
- Team: Hardware Asset Management – Technology Operations
- The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with a willingness to learn and the ability and willingness to work primarily independently, but also with strong written and spoken communication skills who can work as a member of a team to meet larger project goals.
- The candidate for this position must be reliable, consistent, timely, and have a natural attention for details.
- ServiceNow experience
- Excel experience
