Pay Range: $33 – $59/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

- Clinical Expertise & Patient Care
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with wounds, ostomies, fistulas, and continence issues
- Develop and manage individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Perform ostomy site marking and provide pre- and post-operative education
- Monitor and adjust care plans based on patient condition
- Deliver patient-centered care with focus on safety, quality, and outcomes
- Consultation & Collaboration
- Act as a clinical consultant to physicians and nursing staff
- Respond to consults and provide recommendations within scope of practice
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and care coordination
- Support effective communication across healthcare teams
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) (if applicable)
- Administer and monitor HBO treatments
- Observe patients for adverse reactions (e.g., oxygen toxicity, claustrophobia)
- Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber equipment
- Document treatment details and patient responses accurately
- Ensure safety protocols and emergency procedures are followed
- Quality Improvement & Evidence-Based Practice
- Promote and apply evidence-based nursing practices
- Participate in research, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
- Contribute to development of clinical protocols and care standards
- Support patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Education & Training
- Educate patients and families on wound, ostomy, and continence care
- Provide training and orientation to nursing staff and new hires
- Serve as a preceptor/mentor for nursing students and staff
- Conduct formal and informal education sessions
- Resource Management & Support
- Ensure effective use of clinical resources and supplies
- Assist in product evaluation and selection for patient care
- Support continuity of care across the healthcare continuum
- Professional Development
- Maintain compliance with clinical competencies and certifications
- Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional growth
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Must-Have Skills : Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Single State or Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience
- Specialized knowledge in wound care, ostomy care, and continence management
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
- Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) (preferred/role-dependent)
- Familiarity with infection control, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Patient and family education and counseling skills
- Ability to work independently and as a clinical expert/consultant
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience required
- Ability to work Night Shift (for this specific role)
- Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Commitment to hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
