Sterling File Gateway Engineer

Pay Range: $70 - $80/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) for secure B2B and internal file transfers.
- Provide production support for SFG environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Guide and support teams on onboarding partners, creating file transfer flows, and managing certificate/key updates.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cloud teams to ensure secure and stable integrations with AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, IAM).
- Maintain documentation, configurations, and SOPs for managed file transfer processes.
- Participate in audit/compliance activities and ensure secure transfer protocols are enforced (e.g., SFTP, AS2, PGP).
- Key skills; IIBM Sterling File gateway, AWS, B2B Integration
- 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of MFT protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.) and encryption methods (PGP, SSL/TLS).
- Knowledge of AWS networking and connectivity, including VPNs, IAM roles, S3 buckets, and security groups.
- Proven experience in production support and incident resolution related to file transfer systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with IBM Control Center, Sterling Integrator, or other MFT monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based MFT solutions or hybrid integrations.
- Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or Groovy) for automation tasks.
