Pay Range: $33/hour - $59/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a physician consultant, performing evaluations and developing individualized, evidence-based care plans for patients with wounds, fistulas, ostomies, and continence issues.
• Perform the full Nursing Process at a specialist level, including pre- and post-operative marking/education for ostomy surgery and providing psychosocial support for adaptation.
• Serve as a system-wide clinical expert, leading outcome evaluations (e.g., pressure ulcer prevalence), developing product formularies, and participating in committees and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide formal and informal education to all levels of staff, precept WOCN students, and orient new hires to best practices in wound, ostomy, and continence management.
• Uphold all clinical, regulatory, and safety standards, including TJC Patient Safety Goals.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Key Skills; Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• BLS certification; PALS certification required within 180 days
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting (required)
• WOCN certification and quality wound care experience (strongly preferred)
• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• PALS certification required within 180 days of hire.
• National WOCN certification is strongly preferred upon hire.
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a staff RN in an acute care setting is required.Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and time management abilities.
• Competence in using technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills.
• Ability to function decisively in fast-paced and emergency situations.
• Expert-level clinical knowledge in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
