Pay Range: $45 - $48/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Review and interpret medical records to understand patient diagnosis, precautions, goals, and treatment plans. Clarify any uncertainties with the supervising therapist.
• Deliver direct interventions in individual or group sessions as planned, including gait training, exercises, and modalities. Treat patients across various hospital settings, including the ambulatory network.
• Monitor patient response to interventions, document progress, and instruct patients and parents on home programs, particularly gait training and transfers.
• Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
• Coordinate care tasks, including communication with hospital and community providers, and track medical equipment.
• Maintain productivity and fiscal responsibility in the delivery of services.
• Participate in department planning meetings and initiatives as appropriate.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; PEDIATRIC experience, CPR Certified, PTA Licensed.
• Maintain current skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and departmental in-services.
• Complete assigned departmental competencies.
• Seek mentorship and opportunities for professional growth within the department.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with parents, children of varying ages, peers, and supervisors.
• Physical Therapy Assistant License in Pennsylvania – Required
• CPR Certification (within 90 days of hire) – Required
• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program – Required
• At least one year of pediatric experience – Preferred
• CPR Certification
• Physical Therapy Assistant License
