Immediate need for an experienced GI Lab Registered Nurse (RN). This is a Full-time, Day Shift opportunity and is located in Marietta, Georgia(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Key Responsibilities:
- Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday, Clinic/Procedural Hours)
- Schedule: Full-time
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs). Administer moderate sedation/analgesia under the direction of the physician, monitor patient responses, and assist with biopsies and therapeutic interventions.
- Procedural Nursing Care: •
- Operate and troubleshoot complex endoscopic equipment. Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile fields, and handle specimens according to protocol. Function independently and decisively in a fast-paced environment.
- Clinical Expertise:•
- Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure recovery care. Provide thorough patient and family education on procedures, preparation, and discharge instructions.
- Patient Care Coordination:•
- Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists (if applicable), and other GI lab staff to ensure seamless, safe, and efficient patient flow and procedure execution.
- Teamwork & Collaboration:•
- Maintain ACLS competency to respond effectively to procedural emergencies (e.g., respiratory depression, cardiac events) with composure and decisive action.
- Emergency Response:•
- Quality & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of infection control, equipment safety, and patient privacy. Participate in performance improvement and uphold all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills:Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (required upon hire or within 180 days)
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience•
- Procedural, critical care, or GI/endoscopy nursing experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required upon hire or within 180 days.
- SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience is required.
- Experience in a GI Lab, Endoscopy, Procedural Suite, ICU, ED, or PACU is highly preferred.
- Experience with conscious sedation monitoring is essential.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to function independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and procedural environment.
- Proficiency with medical technology and electronic health records.
