Pay Range: $45 - $48/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule:
- Shift: 12-hour Day Shift (approximately 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Schedule varies
- Duration: 13 weeks (05/18/2026 – 08/15/2026)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier)
- On-Call: No
- Assess patient's respiratory status by incorporating relevant clinical information including vital signs, chest X-rays, and ABG values
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators and perform associated critical care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning
- Perform arterial punctures and obtain arterial blood samples from arterial lines; perform analysis of blood gases
- Attend high-risk deliveries as a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Team (NRP required when rotating to NICU or attending deliveries)
- Perform non-invasive oxygen and carbon dioxide monitoring
- Obtain and analyze arterial blood gas samples
- Perform endotracheal intubation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required
- Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
- Perform diagnostic cardiac testing including EKGs, rhythm strips, and 24-hour Holter monitoring
- Perform charge and preceptor duties as assigned
- May perform pulmonary function testing, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, EEGs, and assist with bronchoscopies after completion of competencies.

- Patient Population: Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric
- Key Skills; Minimum 2 years of recent experience within respiratory care specialty
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
- NBRC – RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential (required)
- Valid Georgia State Respiratory Care License
- Proficiency in mechanical ventilation, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and non-invasive monitoring
- Experience with neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- Graduation from an accredited respiratory care program with an Associate's degree or equivalent
- NBRC – RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential – required
- Valid Georgia State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License – required
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – required
- AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required
- AHA NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required when rotating to NICU or attending deliveries.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within respiratory care specialty – required
- Experience with adult, neonatal, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations
- Proficiency in arterial blood sampling techniques as prescribed by hospital standards
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Proficiency with mechanical ventilators, airway management, and blood gas analysis
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice
