Pay Range: $33/hour - $58/hour.Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform the full nursing process to deliver individualized, evidence-based care to PCU patients. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and partners with patients and families.
• Clinical Coordination & Teamwork: Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality care. Promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment through effective interdisciplinary communication (rounds, case review) and demonstrate fiscally responsible teamwork.
• Professional Development: Complete all required competencies and education. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce, modeling professional practice and contributing to a healthy work environment.
• Quality Improvement & Safety: Uphold all system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies. Actively participate in performance improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and data collection to enhance patient safety and care quality (e.g., reducing readmissions, adverse events).
• Resource Management: Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum. Support the efficient use of human and material resources and participate in developing protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, Telemetry, BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Licensure: Current Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing (Diploma or ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school preferred.
• Certifications: All required upon hire (or provisional status as noted):
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Provisional acceptance within 180 days may apply.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Provisional acceptance within 180 days may apply.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience required. Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, Telemetry, or Intermediate Care setting is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities. Must be proficient in time management, patient education, and clinical documentation.
