Soldering Technician

Pay Range: $29 - $30/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hand soldering and rework on electronic components (SMT & through-hole) as per IPC-A-610 standards
• Assemble medical device sub-assemblies using soldering irons, microscopes, and hand tools
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies for defects, quality, and compliance
• Follow GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations applicable to medical devices
• Maintain accurate documentation and batch records
• Handle sensitive electronic components following ESD and cleanroom protocols
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
• Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and contamination control standards

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Diploma / Bachelor / Certification in Electronics, Electrical
• Proven experience in “precision soldering” (medical devices or electronics manufacturing preferred)
• Knowledge of “IPC soldering standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)”
• Experience with “SMT and through-hole soldering”
• Ability to work with microscopes and fine-pitch components
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and quality systems
