Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- The RN Clinical Nurse is an essential member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care.
- Working within a clinical environment supported by Client Shared Governance Model and Professional Practice Model, this role emphasizes evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and patient-centered care.
- The RN upholds the nursing standards outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, ensuring service excellence and advocating for the patient’s voice.
- Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
- Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
- Provide culturally sensitive, relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to specific populations.
- Partner with patients and families through appropriate communication methods to keep them informed and engaged in care decisions.
- Maintain adherence to current clinical practice standards.
- Teamwork and Collaboration
- Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care aligned with professional care models.
- Communicate effectively across interdisciplinary teams through rounds, case reviews, and other forums.
- Foster a respectful and inclusive clinical environment, supporting recruitment and retention efforts.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities.
- Professional Development and Mentorship
- Complete all mandatory education, competency assessments, and population-specific training.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to nurses, staff, and students, promoting a healthy and professional work environment.
- Evidence-Based Practice and Research
- Promote nursing research and evidence-based practices to improve patient care outcomes.
- Comply with all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards including patient safety goals.
- Engage in data collection and apply evidence to clinical questions and practice improvements.
- Resources and Support
- Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum.
- Collaborate on developing protocols and procedures aimed at improving clinical outcomes.
- Support efficient use of human and material resources.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Registered Nurse, BLS, BSN
- Diploma or graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s degree or higher).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Less than 1 year of experience required; clinical hours from accredited programs accepted.
- Direct patient care experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficiency in technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies.
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills using evidence-based nursing practices.
- Registered Nurse (Single State or Multi-state Compact) — required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) — required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) — required.
