Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, patient-centered care using the nursing process and evidence-based standards
• Float across acute care units as assigned to support patient care needs
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop/implement care plans
• Coordinate care through interdisciplinary communication (rounds, case reviews, bedside shift reports)
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress
• Promote cultural competence and population-specific care delivery
• Participate in performance improvement, research utilization, and shared governance initiatives
• Mentor and precept nurses, staff, and students as needed
• Support development of protocols and procedures to enhance patient outcomes and reduce readmissions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, legal, and safety standards
• Utilize resources efficiently to support quality patient care across the continuum.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Strong knowledge of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Evidence-based practice application
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Acute care clinical assessment and intervention skills
• Accurate and timely documentation skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a float environment
• Strong interpersonal and interdisciplinary communication skills
• Patient advocacy and relationship-based care approach
• Emergency response capability with calm decision-making
• Time management and ability to handle high patient volume
• Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy, conditions, and treatment modalities
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients and healthcare teams
• Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
• BSN preferred
• Active Registered Nurse License (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Instructor or Provisional accepted per policy)
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, regulations, and clinical practices
• Ability to work full-time day shift in a float capacity
• Ability to manage high-volume patient information accurately and efficiently
