Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Provide overall management of the Radiology nursing staff and clinical operations. Develop and manage the operational budget, analyze financial resources, and implement Lean principles to optimize workflows and reduce waste in a high-volume procedural area.
- Clinical Quality & Safety: Serve as the standard-bearer for nursing practice within Radiology. Ensure all procedural care (e.g., sedation management, contrast administration, patient monitoring) meets the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, ACR). Proactively mitigate risks.
- Talent Management & Culture: Act as the chief retention officer, creating a desirable and safe work environment. Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth through effective coaching, conflict resolution, and shared governance.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:- Model exceptional partnership and communication with radiologists, technologists, physicians from other services, and department leaders. Facilitate seamless patient care coordination throughout the imaging continuum.
- Business & Service Line Development: Use data and technology to drive decisions that improve clinical outcomes and business performance. Contribute to the advancement of the radiology service line through strategic planning and marketing initiatives.
- Skills-• Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
- Current BLS certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience
- Experience in procedural, perioperative, imaging, or ambulatory leadershipBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field is strongly preferred.
- Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS and/or PALS certification is highly desirable.
- Certification in Nursing Administration (e.g., NE-BC) or Radiology Nursing (CRN) is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive nursing management experience is required (e.g., Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor).
- Leadership experience in a Radiology, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, Perioperative, or other procedural/imaging department is highly preferred.
- Strong background in managing clinical operations, budgets, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen in healthcare financing, strategy, and operations.
- Proven ability in change management, systems thinking, and talent development.
- Expertise in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
