Key Responsibilities:

• Shift: Variable (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible for extended hours)
• Schedule: Full-time
• Call Required: Yes, including weekends and holidays (weekend call: Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM, 1-hour response time)
• Travel: 1-2 times/month to off-site continuing care facilities
• Perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures according to protocol
• Conduct transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
• Evaluate patient history to frame clinical questions and expand exams as needed
• Prepare equipment and position patients for optimal imaging
• Review images and report preliminary findings to physicians
• Communicate with patients using AIDET to ensure comfort and understanding
• Participate in on-call rotation (1-hour response time)
• Travel to off-site facilities (1-2 times/month) for portable echocardiograms

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI, or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS
• BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
• Less than 1 year of experience accepted – new graduates welcome!
• Graduate of accredited program OR 2 years of work experience above minimum qualification
• Less than 1 year of experience accepted – new graduates strongly encouraged
• RCS (CCI) or RDCS (ARDMS) required
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Must be able to respond within 1 hour for call
