Benchling ELN Engineer / Lab Systems Engineer (Biotech)

Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour.  Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and support Benchling ELN workflows, templates, and data models
• Partner with scientists to translate lab workflows into ELN solutions
• Analyze current processes and drive automation and system improvements
• Support integrations between Benchling and lab systems/instruments (APIs/data flows)
• Develop and support labeling/reporting solutions (Bartender)
• Manage Zebra printers and barcode workflows for sample tracking
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Participate in Agile/SDLC cycles (requirements → build → test → deploy)
• Create and maintain technical and validation documentation (CSV)
• Monitor system performance and ensure platform stability

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with Benchling (ELN or LIMS)
• Experience supporting lab workflows (Process Development, QC, Analytical)
• Understanding of ELN/LIMS configuration, workflows, or system administration
• Experience with Bartender (labeling/reporting tools)
• Experience with Zebra printers / barcoding technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience working in biotech/pharma or scientific environments
• Familiarity with SDLC / system implementation processes
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, or APIs)
• Experience with system integrations and workflow automation
• Experience in GxP / regulated environments (CSV validation)
• Exposure to data pipelines or lab system integrations
