Immediate need for a talented  Representative Internal Sales & Service with experience in the Insurance Industry. This is a 3+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Columbus, OH. Please review the job description below.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understands the assigned product and can provide service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintains records of conversations and has knowledge and understanding of the current processing systems.
  • Provides excellent service to producers and customers in support of business unit?s service and sales objectives.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of customer needs and emphasizes prompt responses.
  • Educates consumers and producers on product features and benefits. Is able to communicate product information in an easy to understand manner.
  • Analyzes problems to determine proper course of action.
  • Can resolve routine errors and involves the appropriate internal administrative areas to ensure accurate completeness of other issues.
  • Engages consumers and producers to retain their assets with client.
  • Probes to understand reasons for asset flight.
  • Uncovers routine sales opportunities and markets client products to producers.
  • Turns service inquiries into sales opportunities.
  • Assists in gathering profile information for producers.
  • Receives requests for sales literature and responds in a timely manner.
  • Maintains records related to producers and customers.
  • Documents conversations accurately.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Undergraduate studies in insurance, business, marketing or other related fields preferred.
  • Associates must obtain the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit.
  • Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented.
  • If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
  • Experience: One year experience in customer service, sales related occupations.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of various insurance products and the sales process.
  • Knowledge of the state and local laws necessary to understand the legal implications of certain product features in different states.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications necessary in order to talk to producers/customers about product features and to help in the sales process.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and common office software.
