Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplary Practice: Perform comprehensive, ongoing assessments and manage complex care for critically ill patients. Administer vasoactive medications, manage ventilators, interpret hemodynamic monitoring, and provide life-sustaining interventions. Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinate closely with intensivists, specialists, respiratory therapists, and other team members. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and maintain precise, timely documentation in a respectful clinical environment.
- Clinical Expertise: Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment, manage invasive lines and devices, and provide post-operative care for surgical ICU patients. Anticipate and respond rapidly to subtle changes in patient condition.
- Emergency Response: Function with decisive composure during medical emergencies, utilizing ACLS protocols and advanced resuscitation skills.
- Professional Development: Complete all critical care competencies and education. Serve as a preceptor/mentor to develop future critical care nurses.
- Quality & Safety: Promote evidence-based practice and participate in unit-based performance improvement. Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Skills-Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (required upon hire)
- Experience in an ICU, CCU, or other critical care setting
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond decisively in emergencies Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing (Diploma or ADN) is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:-Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- CCRN or other critical care specialty certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with direct patient care in a critical care setting (ICU, CCU, CVICU, Neuro ICU) is highly preferred.
- New graduates with a completed critical care internship or residency are encouraged to apply.
- Expertise in critical thinking, clinical judgment, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills under pressure.
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple high-stakes tasks.
- Proficiency with advanced medical technology and monitoring systems.
