Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Operations
• Oversee evening/night shift operations across Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Critical Care units.
• Coordinate with the House Supervisor to allocate resources and address shift priorities.
• Support the Nurse Manager in supervising staff, coaching, counseling, and performance evaluation.
• Serve as a role model for professional practice, ethics, and service excellence.
• Ensure effective functioning of clinical workflows and delivery systems.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and coordinating 10-hour shifts (9p–7a).
• Teamwork & Collaboration
• Communicate effectively with diverse staff across multiple units.
• Promote a positive, healthy, safe work environment that supports retention and staff engagement.
• Hold staff accountable for professional standards and care delivery expectations.
• Support interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, staff, and other departments.
• Clinical Excellence & Quality Outcomes
• Promote staff competency and adherence to evidence-based practice.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, change management, and unit-based projects.
• Monitor clinical processes to ensure patient-centered care and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain high standards related to clinical competency, safety, and corporate compliance.
• Professional Development
• Participate in ongoing learning, leadership training, and professional organization involvement.
• Assist in staff development, mentoring, onboarding, and performance growth.
• Expand knowledge in healthcare operations, finance, and workforce management.
• Evidence-Based Practice & Research
• Support nursing research, EBP implementation, and performance improvement efforts.
• Use data and analytics to guide operational and clinical decisions.
• Identify areas for improvement in workflows, staff performance, and patient outcomes.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Active RN license (Georgia Single-State or Multi-State Compact).
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Nursing.
• BLS certification (Instructor accepted).
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience (acute care preferred).
• Strong leadership ability with interest in progressing into nurse management.
• Excellent communication, delegation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and support clinical staff.
• Understanding of shared governance, quality/safety practices, and evidence-based care.
• Ability to interpret and use data, metrics, and technology to support decisions.
• Knowledge of (or interest in learning):
• Healthcare financing and budgeting
• Staffing and resource management
• Risk management and accreditation standards
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
• Active RN License (Single-State or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 3 years of Acute Care experience.
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
