Key Responsibilities:

• High-Acuity Patient Management: Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with conditions such as complex medical diagnoses, post-operative recovery from major surgery, heart failure, respiratory insufficiency, and stable cardiac arrhythmias. 
• Manage patients requiring vasoactive drips, non-invasive ventilation, and continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Clinical Expertise: Perform advanced assessments, interpret telemetry and hemodynamic trends, administer complex medication regimens, and respond promptly to subtle changes in patient condition. 
• Function with a high degree of clinical autonomy and critical thinking.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with physicians, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and other specialists. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to coordinate complex care plans and ensure seamless transitions.
• Emergency Response: Utilize ACLS protocols to respond effectively to patient emergencies with decisive action and composed professionalism.
• Patient & Family Education: Provide extensive education to patients and families on complex disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge readiness.
• Professional Development: Maintain advanced competencies and serve as a clinical resource and mentor to less experienced staff within the PCU.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (required upon hire or within 180 days)
• Minimum 5 years of direct patient nursing care experience
• Experience in PCU, Step-down, Telemetry, or ICU
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required upon hire or within 180 days.
• PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) or CCRN certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of direct patient nursing care experience is required.
• Substantial experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-down, Intermediate Care, Cardiac Telemetry, or ICU setting is essential.
• Expert clinical judgment, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in advanced cardiac monitoring and technical equipment.
