Pay Range: $40 - $47/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multi-state payroll tax filings (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure accurate and timely tax remittances and reporting
• Maintain and audit Workday payroll tax configurations
• Perform QTD/YTD payroll tax reconciliations
• Partner with Accounting to resolve G/L discrepancies
• Validate tax data accuracy across systems
• Research and resolve federal & state tax notices
• Support internal/external audits and year-end tax processes
• Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work with Alight / Strada or similar payroll vendors
• Partner with Payroll, HRIT, and Accounting teams
• Identify and implement process improvements & automation
• Ensure system integrity through regular audits

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• 3–5+ years of payroll tax experience (multi-state required)
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (must-have)
• Strong experience in tax filings, reconciliation, and compliance
• Experience handling tax notices and audits
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis & reconciliation)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmen
• Experience with Alight, Strada, or other payroll vendors
• Exposure to process improvement / automation initiatives
• Large enterprise payroll environment experience
