Pay Range: $32- $58/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post-Operative Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Patient Monitoring: Continuously assess and monitor patients' vital signs, airway patency, level of consciousness, pain levels, and surgical site(s). Recognize and promptly respond to any changes in patient condition.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a cohesive plan of care. Provide thorough hand-off reports to receiving units or discharging physicians.
• Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions, pain management strategies, and discharge planning to promote optimal recovery at home.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all PACU and hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality metrics.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Required upon hire:
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or Multi-State Compact (RN-COMPACT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Required within 180 Days:
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Required within 18 Months:
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Required: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience. PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department experience is highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills, with the ability to make rapid, independent decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the surgical team.
• Proficiency in pain management and airway assessment techniques.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a dynamic clinical environment.
