Key Responsibilities:
- Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday, Procedural Hours; On-Call Required)

- Intraprocedural Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing EP procedures (e.g., ablation for arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implants, loop recorder implants). Administer conscious sedation, monitor hemodynamics, and respond to emergent situations.
- Clinical & Technical Expertise: Operate and troubleshoot complex EP mapping and recording systems. Prepare sterile fields, manage specialized equipment, and assist the electrophysiologist during procedures. Understand and demonstrate strict sterile technique.
- Patient Management: Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure recovery care. Provide thorough patient and family education regarding procedures and home care.
- Team Collaboration & Call Duty: Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, radiologic technologists, and other EP lab staff. Must be flexible with hours and participate in a scheduled On-Call rotation to meet department needs for emergent procedures.
- Quality & Safety: Adhere to rigorous pre-procedural verification and timeout protocols. Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission) and participate in departmental quality assurance/performance improvement activities.
- Key skills; Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (required upon hire or within 180 days)
- Critical thinking skills and ability to function independently
- Experience in a critical care, procedural, or cardiac setting
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required upon hire or within 180 days.
- RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) or CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) certification is a significant plus.
- 1 year of ICU, CCU, ER, previous Cath Lab, or EP Lab experience is highly preferred.
- Strong critical care or procedural background is essential. Willingness to train highly motivated candidates with relevant experience.
- Ability to function independently with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes, and technical procedural environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and quality outcomes.
