Pay Range: $33 - $59/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee unit operations on assigned shift to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Take a modified patient assignment while functioning as Charge Nurse
• Make and adjust patient and staff assignments based on acuity, census, and skill mix
• Coordinate patient flow, bed management, and discharge planning
• Round daily on patients to assess care quality and intervene as needed
• Support and oversee the nursing process using evidence-based practice
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor staffing needs and assist with resource and equipment management
• Address care delivery or staff performance concerns with nurse leadership
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and shared governance initiatives
• Serve as a mentor/preceptor and support staff development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional nursing standards

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or Compact)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience in an acute or IMCU/step-down setting (preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills
• Ability to manage patient flow, staffing, and unit operations
• Excellent communication, delegation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 years of direct patient care RN experience
• Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
• Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
